VR Experiences for Design, Sales & Marketing

We build immersive VR experiences, both stationary and walkable, for space planning, design review, and sales and marketing.

Walkable VR

At Designstor we use the Samsung Odyssey, a VR headset with 6 degrees of tracking. Though tethered, the user can walk around the virtual space and explore at room scale in both real time stylised, or high quality fully realised experiences

Immersive Room Scale Experience

With the Samsung Odyssey and similar VR hardware, users are transported to an entirely virtual environment, one in which they can move around and explore.

Fully Realized

We can create fully realized photo-realistic spaces as a natural progression from our rendering and animation process.

Stylized, Planning, and Design Review

VR can be used for space planning and design review processes. By taking away the realistic materiality, we can make quick changes to evolve the space, allowing you to review, comment, and solve problems before the space is built.

Explore Options of Materiality, Interiors and Exteriors

Our VR scenes allow you to view both interior and exterior spaces with different material options, as well as various lighting for different times of day.

Natural Input and Guided Experiences

Instead of having each user learn how to use VR with controllers, we’ve created easier to understand ways of controlling and exploring a scene. Voice commands allow users to change scene values and explore the space without the need for external assistance. A custom Tablet controller app can be paired with the experience, allowing an agent or guide to move the user throughout the space, as well as modify environment values.

Stationary VR

GearVR is a standalone VR headset with 3 degrees of tracking. While you cannot walk around a virtual space, you can explore one using hotspot navigation, in either realtime stylised experiences, or high quality pre-rendered stereoscopic VRs.

Standalone or Combined with other Experiences

GearVR is a completely standalone experience, not requiring any other additional hardware. It can however be paired with other experiences running on tablets and touch screens, allowing users to follow along, and even control aspects of the VR users experience.

High-Quality Stereoscopic VR

Although the hardware for realtime 3D rendering is unable to run our photorealistic scenes, our applications can be designed to create a similar experience using pre-rendered stereoscopic renders that create a sense of true depth.

Stylised Realtime 3D

GearVR is capable of running stylised realtime 3D scenes such as massing models. These can include simpler building models, or model suites.

Easy to use

The barrier to entry is significantly lower with GearVR. Users can simply hold the device up to their face and instantly be transported into a VR experience.
